Class Notes 10/11 (recorded by Molly Tillis):

Mr. Donnelly thinks this is a good movie, not great, but good.

• kind of like a desert movie, like Shawshank
• the questions for this movie are different because they’re about you and not about the movie
• Will makes the right decision in going after Skylar in the end

He likes discussing the question of which is harder...to love or be loved?

• there was about a 50/50 split in the vote
• Will says it’s harder to be loved because people find out how you really are

Ambiguity

• theres this one composer who wrote a piece called 433 that is 4:33 of silence
• it is hard to argue what is good
  • things that have lasted for a long time are good (the Odyssey)
  • theres not alot to debate about this movie

The word of the day is Stache

• the book in the movie that Will makes reference to is the People’s History of the United States

Don’t ever say “I’ll be a success in life, and you’ll be a failure.”

• Northwestern used to chant “We will be your bosses someday.”
